These bowls are created for our customers that are looking for a very special and unique statement piece. They are forged only once a year in very limited quantities.
Often purchased as an altar bowl, burning (smudge) bowl or offering bowl, this is our version of a cauldron. But instead of a cast cauldron, ours are 100% forged. This bowl is also loved by artists to make charcoal or by those that wish to have a decorative piece that embraces our ancient ways.
Created using traditional techniques that date back hundreds of years, they are hand hammered, shaped in a hand carved tree stump and hot chiseled to create unique patterns. Once this process is completed, the bowls are quenched in quartz infused moon waters to enhance their energies. The bowls are then treated by burning on a durable beeswax coating. We render the beeswax ourselves that we source from local beekeepers. The final result is a gorgeous black sheen that is non-toxic and burn safe.
Trinity Knot, Pentagram, Goddess Symbol and Spider Web designs available.
The bowls sit on a removable, hand forged ring base with three spiral legs. This raises it off the table or altar so it is safer for burning, in addition to calling on the trinity energy.
Never leave any burnings unattended.
Measurement of Forged Bowl approximately: 7" across x 4" high when on the base.
NOTE: Due to techniques used to make these bowls, I only make them once a year in August. Once stock runs out for the year, that is it until next year.
Because they are all hand-forged, and each piece of metal has its own essence and character, there may be small blemishes or imperfections, but these add to the unique character of the piece, giving it a special individuality. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.
