Shipping and Terms - Important Delivery Timelines

PRICES

All prices are subject to change without warning. We can not honour any previously advertised prices. Prices on items at markets or on the website, are our current and valid pricing. Once purchased, if our prices change, we can not refund the difference if prices go down. We endeavour to always provide our customers with the best value possible and are constantly monitoring our supplies and materials pricing. As such our product pricing will fluctuate over time. 

CURRENCY

Please note, all prices are in Canadian dollars! The Canadian dollar has decreased in value, this means if you are in the USA, your price in USD will actually be less. We have provided a courtesy conversion tool on this site. These conversions are an ESTIMATE only of what the cost will be in your currency. Although close, we can not guarantee that these conversions are 100% accurate. During checkout, your credit card company will handle the conversion.

NOTE 'FORGEIGN TRANSACTION FEE': Some banks may charge additional transaction fees. This is out of our control. This fee is collected and kept by your bank and is not a fee from our store. Each financial institution has its own policies and procedures when it comes to foreign transaction fees. If you do not reside in Canada, your bank may charge a transaction fee when using our store. If you have concerns or questions about these transaction fees, please talk to your bank. We are unable to provide any assistance as we have no knowledge, information or access to anything relating to these fees as they are instigated, collected and kept by your bank. 

MEASUREMENTS

All measurements provided are approximate.

SHIPPING

Many of our items are one of a kind and as long as they are available, they are in stock, ready to ship. These items will ship within 5 business days from order placement.

Items are shipped through Canada Post or a courier service such as Purolator, UPS, etc. Shipping times are out of our control and will increase during peak seasons. 

Rush shipping is available. Please email us to discuss your needs and we will provide you with costs and options to get your items to you as quickly as possible.  

Buyers are responsible for all border fees including any service fees, taxes, duty, etc. that may be applied to their shipment. These charges are completely out of our control and applied by the government. 

NOTE: During certain times of the year and due to a variety of circumstances, shipping times may take much longer than normal. We are especially noticing this right now during COVID. This is completely out of our control, however we are noticing significantly longer delivery times. We encourage our customers to order early for any special dates to avoid disappointment. 

If you wish to purchase rushed delivery, please contact us to make arrangements. NOTE: shipping times will be longer during peak seasons such as the holidays. All parcels are shipped with tracking. You will be sent tracking details once your product has shipped.

If you are outside of Canada or the USA and interested in purchasing, please contact us directly to discuss shipping costs and options.

NOTE: Daelen Forge ships from Canada. All customs, duty and border fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. Daelen Forge is not responsible for items lost by the postal service. To ensure the security of your purchase we recommend you purchase shipping with tracking.

 

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

All sales at Daelen Forge are final sale.

We do not accept returns of our products due to the environmental impact of reverse shipping and safety reasons which prevent us from being able to sell returned products. Over 5 billion pounds of waste is created annually due to reverse shipping! This is one of the reasons we strongly encourage customers to shop local and come and see us in person at one of our many markets and shows. That way you can see the item before purchasing and ask lots of questions.

If you can't come to a market, please message us at info@daelenforge.com with any questions before purchasing. We are happy to answer your questions, provide you with additional information, and ensure you are confident and happy with your decision before purchasing. 

For the sake of our environment we encourage all of our customers to use what they have, buy what they need and ask lots of questions before purchasing. Our blacksmith forged items are fantastic for the environment because they have been designed to last with proper care. 

If you have any concerns please contact Daelen Forge within 10 days of purchase to discuss. We want you to love your purchase and are happy to answer any questions. 

To ensure the beauty, functionality and longevity of your Daelen Forge Original, please ensure you are following all proper care guidelines. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all pieces are only used for their intended use, that proper care and precautions are followed at all times, and due diligence is exercised in caring for the piece to maintain its condition. Without the proper care, all blacksmith created pieces will wear and rust. A small amount of proper care will ensure your piece is a long lasting and treasured piece.

ORIGINALITY & UNIQUE ITEMS

Because they are all hand-forged, and each piece of metal has its own essence and character, there may be small blemishes or imperfections, but these add to the unique character of the piece, giving it a special individuality. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.

Ho Ho Ho, Where did everything go?

You may have noticed that everything is sold out on the website. That's because it is show season and all of our stock is now with us at markets and shows.

But all is not lost! If you are looking for a particular item, we strongly encourage you to come and see us in person. Click here to see where to find us.

If you are looking to have an item shipped, click here to send us an email. With the possibility of a postal strike we will be moving to courier shipments and will source the best quote we can to your address. Please note, as we are at shows working, it may be up to 5 business days before we respond.
